Views on area around Salernes/Verdon in Provence

Hi there,

We have booked a week in a villa just outside the village of Salernes in Provence about half and hour from Lac de Sainte Croix and the Verdon Gorges. Has anyone stayed in this area? and would you recommend? It never seems to get a mention in posts about Provence/South of France so I am a bit worried that it's perhaps not that nice. Also any experience of mosquitoes at the start of July? I am having cancer treatment so am
more at risk of infection etc which is why I ask. 🙏

Not stayed in that village but it's a beautiful area. Roads are somewhat terrifying at times! It was also very very hot in July..too hot for camping (which we were) so hopefully you have air con
