Croatia family holiday

Always been keen to try Croatia for a family holiday (6 year old). Can anyone recommend any good areas for families? Ideally close to a beach and not to far from the airport? Budget isn’t huge but we would be hoping to eat out some nights. Many thanks!

Croatia is not know for beaches.

We found Dubrovnik area to be incredibly expensive for eating out - much more so than London. Not really beachy but beautiful clear warm water.

Croatia tends to have stony beaches. Pula is a great place with some Roman ruins and is reasonably priced.

Try Paradise beach on Rab island.
It is sandy, long and shallow.
If you fly there try main beach in Jadranovo - white gravel (relativelly close to Rijeka airport).
Or go to Kastela near Split airport. You can easily visit Split and Trogir from there.

Brela and Baska Voda are nice beach towns not too far from Split airport.
