First holiday abroad with a 1 year old coming up soon. Was just hoping for some tips & suggestions to do with plane, hotel, anything really! And any must haves we need to take with us that you recommend? Any advice welcome 😊

Cheap lie back buggy..
Don't spend loads on outfits. We went camping in France when dd was nearly 1...packed lots of cute outfits..
In reality dd wore bare minimum and older dc hosed her off under the site tap regularly...
New outfits returned home unworn...

It depends on what type of holiday it is really! I have lots of tips for city breaks with young children but no resort experience.

Tips for the plane:

Snacks! Loads of snacks.
No toys that make noise.
Tablet on silent if you plan on using one.
Change the baby right before you get on the plane.
Get on the plane last if possible!

Mine was 6 months old on first holiday! Cheap buggy with canopy, depending on how hot it’s going to be a clip on fan proved good! Short sleeved, short legged rompers for night. Thin blanket for naps at nighttime!

There are usually aldis or lidls at resorts - get nappies from there instead of carting them over!

the BEST thing we took on his first holiday was a little blow up paddling pool with an attached blow up canopy! We used to fill it with a bit of water, strop him off and he would play about in that for hours next to our sun beds! He never had anything but a nappy on in the day so loads of clothes wernt necessary!

Swim nappies won't hold in urine so only put on just before you get into the pool and change as soon as possible after! We took reusable ones to save on space.
We also took a white noise machine and black out blind as my dd was a light sleeper.

A snooze shade for buggy so can nap by the pool
