Do any mumsnetters have apartments etc for rent in sunny southern Europe??

Not sure where this should go, but me and a friend are looking for a week or a bit more in such a place. Sunny and with a bit of kulcha handy. Except France as my friend is French and it would be like going home on holiday. Anywhere southern Spain near Seville/Cordoba/Granada. Or somewhere in Italy/Greece/Turkey maybe? Basic and cheap? Last weeks of June, into July, or September?

if this is the wrong place to put this then do let me know? thanks.

Have an apartment in Bulgaria - not really southern Europe though but flights out have got cheaper since Whizz (I think that's what they are called) started going in and rental per week is pretty good - has a pool, on the seafront etc. Probably abit east though for what you want

Pan · 16/05/2008 19:22

no , LOW, all considered. Not been to Bulgaria before!!

Ha, nor me but mum assures me it's lovely Let me do a link to the complex and you can mull it over... It rents out through a company during the summer but I cannot remember if we sorted it out in time this year - otherwise if we rented it out privatly we would need whoever was there to tidy afterwards as I am not sure how the cleaner system works in that senario. Righty - let me get the link...

LadyOfWaffle · 16/05/2008 19:27

the actual development website rather than holiday version I think

Pan · 16/05/2008 19:44

cleaning wouldn't be a prob. but we're looking for somehwere where there's a bit of poncy/museums/old ruins handy - that sort of thing. My friend hasn't been abroad before ( well, outside of France anyway!) and wishes a bit of sight-seeeing. The complex of your mums looks pretty much for family holidays, and self-contained??
But many thanks for the thought, and the link.

Have you tried Interhome (www.interhome.co.uk)? They do apartments /houses etc across Europe. We've used them for skiing, but not a summer holiday - though I'm sure they have properties in good summer locations as well.

Pan · 16/05/2008 21:08

thanks - am scanning it as we speak!

Hi, I have a 3 bed apt on the Aegean coast in Turkey. Masses to do culturally including trips to Greek islands. Pool view, restaurant gym and sauna on site, courtesy bus drops you to the door of lovely beaches, restaurants, shops, nightlife. As a msnetter, happy to let you have it for £160 p/w. drop me a line at [email protected] and I'll send you the link to my villarenters ad if you're interested.
