Villa on a resort or with access to a resort?

I am trying to find something for July for 2 adults 3 kids (3-9y). Ideally it would be a villa or apartment with our own space/some cooking facilities but on a resort or with access to a resort with splash pools, entertainment, restaurants etc. We want to avoid hotel rooms (even adjoining) because of the 3 kids of different ages, we tried that last year and the littlest one Did Not Sleep 😴

Any experiences or recommendations? Anywhere in Europe would be fine - flying from Edinburgh or Glasgow.

It will be very much dependent on your budget!!! Martinhal Sagres is great and has the accommodation you want but it’s ££££

Ah yes sorry that is a key factor!

Low-ish budget if at all possible up to £4-5k, which isn't loads for 5 people in July.

Have looked at Martinhal loads of times over the years, seems like the prices have escalated wildly. People also say Sagres is windy, which puts me off? Maybe that is wrong.

I would have said Quinta do Paraiso in Carvoeiro was exactly right, but I'm not sure if they have anything that sleeps more than 4. Their sister property, Clube Rocha de Brava might have more variety. Both complexes have been mentioned lots on here.

Meant to say, you can book the bungalows at Quinta do Paraiso direct with owners on VRBO and they're usually pretty reasonable.

Thanks I'll take a look. I find it overwhelming to look at all the options so having a starting point is helpful.

When searching, look for apartments rather than a villa as villas will normally be a bit out of the way and a standalone property

El Capistrano village in Nerja - no kids club but two pools, a bar and a cafe/ restaurant.

We have stayed at Arguineguin Park in Gran Canaria a few times. We booked it as a random deal one Easter & the hotel is so good with the kids that we've been back a few times. A few bedrooms, a few bathrooms, a living room & large kitchen. Absolutely spotless & a few minutes walk into town.
