Northwest Airlines / KLM prices to the US too good to be true, are they any good?

I know I have only just got back from Chicago but I really would like to go to the States again. Found out that I could visit my friend in St Louis for less than £400 including my infant, Is this a case of you get what you pay for? Apart from not having a TV (which I don't watch anyway), does anyone know anything else about these carriers i.e. Are they reliable. Any little helps!!!

Northwest is just like any other US carrier. It's based in Minnapolis-St. Paul, MN and is about to merge with Delta Airlines. It's not a budget airline or anything, and has been in business for a long time. KLM is Dutch-based I believe. We flew them from NYC to Austria once a long time ago and was fine, but no current info.

Should be fine.
