Hi! I’ve been to Portugal a few times, but this time am planning to visit in July with my kids, 6& 2, OH and MIL (72). We will probably get a villa but ideally it would be located near a town / village that is charming, pretty, feels authentically Portuguese rather than just lots of Brits (no offence meant - I am a Brit too). I’d love to be near a beach too. Anyone got any recommendations? Also doesn’t need to be Portugal, just looking for somewhere easy to get to and sunny. Thank uou

Give Tavira a try. Beautiful beach that you can get a cute land train to or a quick ferry.
Beautiful town, lovely river going through it, nice traditional indoor market, some great restaurants and some nice little towns nearby.

Ferragudo is perfect, but I’d get a car to explore other beaches too.
