Portugal (the algarve) is lovely for families and not too hot as quite windy. We took our dds aged 6 and 4 there for the first abroad holiday. Not sure about all inclusive as we usually get a villa.

Santo Thomas and Cala Galdana are lovely for children and only a 2hr flight.

Nemoandthefishes · 16/05/2008 21:32

we've just come back from lanzarote, staying just outside playa blanca. Ds is 1 and honestly it was an ideal place. Temp high 20's (17th april) but quite windy so not ridiculously hot. We stayed at the rubimar aparthotel, which is a lot cheaper than some of the others even though its 4*. Its in new marina which is so pretty, and posh... Didnt see a single pissed up brit! Loads to do for kids, indoor and 2 outdoor pools, play room, park etc. Although if your budget permits the princes yaiza would be great for older kids as they have whole world for kids. Enclosed area with park and pools and cafe and such like. We would def go back to rubimar! Loads of good reviews online too.

Aaah nemo come the same day as me we could let the kids run riot round the park . We are all fine and it just breaks my heart to see the kids getting bigger. Glad you are well xx

No sorry all our villas have been self catering and we have a contact in Portugal who sets them up for us.
