Copenhagen tips

Flights and accommodation are sorted.

Does anyone have recommendations for reasonably priced places to eat and drink in Copenhagen?

(The older members of the party would prefer not sitting on an upturned crate or repurposed pallet in a shipping container.)

There are lots of cafes dotted around that serve little open sandwiches which really are lovely. You get a choice of toppings. We ate in one just as you come off the hop on and off bus at the start and stop place. The HOHO bus is good. In the department store called Magasin du Nord which you will see on the bus there is a big food hall, a bit like Selfridges if you have been in there. There is a really good coffee shop come bakery which is worth a stop for a pastry/cake if you’ve time and peckish.

We only stayed one night and ended up in a burger place for dinner. It wasn’t what we thought we would eat but we were all starving. It was called Cocks and Cows and was actually really good. They serve more than burgers. Not traditional at all though!

DS1 and his GF have recently visited Copenhagen, they found a food court that served lots of different cuisine, very reasonable prices, they got bored of sandwiches. They also found the Discover Copenhagen cards really good value, as they visited lots of places they wouldn’t have wanted to pay the entry fee for. They really enjoyed their visit, but yes, Copenhagen is not a cheap place to visit.

Sporvejen is a quirky restaurant and huge portions for the price.
La Galette is quite near to Tivoli and so much cheaper (and nicer) than a lot of the Tivoli food outlets.
Pizzeria Fiorita is very good value. You won’t find better for cheaper.

Thank you, everyone. These are all being noted.
