One of my party no longer travelling on BA with us, what do I need to do

Booked and paid for 5 plane tickets for summer holiday on behalf of family plus one other. The one other will now longer travel with us. I know I can’t get a refund for their ticket.

The BA App requires API for all members of the party. What happens if I just don’t put in their info - will it invalidate the whole booking?

Contact them on live chat, they can add a note to your booking. It's open until 10pm today x

You should be able to get a refund of taxes etc for that ticket as well - don’t know if that is worth pursuing.

You can certainly claim back Air Passenger Duty as that is only payable if/when you fly. Depending on the type of ticket booked you may also be able to get a partial refund. If you booked directly and you can’t sort out in live chat, it’s probably worth hanging on the telephone.

If you booked through a travel agent, on line or in a shop, you will need to contact the agent.

@StarlightLady the Web chat was just the ticket - once I’d bypassed the Bot - and I’ve had a small refund fir the taxes less an admin fee.
