Help me decide where to go on holiday this year

Help me decide where to go this year. I've looked a few times and can't settle on anything. We are two adults and a very active 2 Yr old. We will be going in June or September. Preferences:

  • Max 3 hours flight from Leeds Bradford
  • Open to UK holidays if not too long of a drive
  • Self catering
  • Walking distance to amenities
  • Ideally with a nice garden or balcony with view
  • Not super touristy but with plenty to do especially things that are toddler friendly (e.g. parks, museums etc)
  • Husband's requirement is it must have access to a gym, I would like a swimming pool but that's not a must
  • Fairly private - we don't like being overlooked. So happy to go to a Center Parcs type place but not if all the cabins are visible to each other

Budget maybe £3k ish

List of wants seems to be getting a bit long, and the gym being a 'must' complicates things. A hotel wouldn't really work for us as we need a separate bedroom for our toddler. Help?

Have you considered Devon, Cornwall or the New Forest? Great UK getaway locations. Bath is also wonderful.

I have, but they're a very long drive for us and I don't think it's doable for my toddler. Perhaps if we found somewhere on route to stay overnight each way
