Has anyone been to Shanghai recently?
We were looking at it as a family trip as they have a Disneyland, and would like to go somewhere we hadn't been before.
Looking into Visas and they seem to be quite expensive (for a family of four, more expensive than a return flight altogether)

Does anyone know how much they actually cost per person, if kids are the same cost, and any other tips for travelling to Shanghai?
Would you recommend it as a holiday destination?

I have been twice, once five years ago and once twenty years ago.

not been to the Disneyland.

it’s an interesting place to visit. We went with two five year olds. The Shanghai museum on the main people’s square is very interesting. Lots to see generally - the European quarters are nice and along the bund is pretty impressive. We also did the pearl tower and a big aquarium.

limited English outside the main centre.

we combined with Hong Kong.

the traffic is genuinely awful though.
