We have a few opportunities to go based on the annual leave DH has for this year and next. I am wondering when people think would be best. No experience of flying with a baby/toddler as this is DC1

We first took my son when he was 11 months and have been every year since , no negative age really , all old enough to enjoy the pool and any evening entertainment

Mine was 3, it was great

Just pick somewhere not too adult-y. If you look for one with a splash park or some sort of kids water feature in the swimming pool, you won't go too far wrong

Between 4 and 7 months is not too bad as they are not mobile (bar the odd prodigy) and past the very fragile newborn stage. But still mostly on milk which makes life easier. However not all babies will sleep in a buggy and if yours won’t then dinner gets very tricky.

14-20 months is not bad - past the crawling stage, before the tantrum stage, hopefully sleeping ok, very cute.

But all ages can be manageable or can be dreadful- it really depends on what sort of baby you get and how it hits you… If you haven’t had the baby yet I’d wait before booking anything non refundable

The most stressful holiday we had was when DD2 was 6 months and DD1 was 2yo. (Stressful in different ways for each child!)

Had a lovely holiday when DD1 was 14 months.
