Attending Wedding Alone in Rural Rome - Logistics?? Help!

Hello,

Is there anyone who is familiar with Rome & surrounding rural areas that can give me some logistics tips?

I will be alone. I am comfortable in a foreign city (I'll spend time in Rome first, have never been, looking forward to it).

But I feel so unsure about being in a rural location for the wedding.

I will be arriving at this hotel on the Friday, arriving from central Rome:

On the Saturday I am attending a wedding at this venue:

On the Sunday I am flying back to the UK.

This was the nearest hotel to the wedding venue. I haven't paid for it yet.

I am wondering if it is better to just stay in central Rome???? But then how would I get home on the night of the wedding??

But if I stay in the rural hotel... Should I just walk to the venue??
It's 15mins walk
Is it safe to do that on country roads in Italy? What about at night time?
What if I rented an e-scooter? One of the ones you stand on. I don't want to hire a car.
How would I get back to the airport from the countryside on the Sunday morning?

The couple are not the most helpful. I actually think this is not the most practical of wedding venues, but it is what it is!

Any help much, much appreciated. Thank you xx

I do wonder what the b&g expect you to do

I got married in rural wales and we block booked a cheap hotel (guests paid) but organised (and paid for) a minibus to and fro the wedding from there

anyway I think you’d be perfectly safe on public transport albeit very hot and bothered I imagine (perhaps they’ve air conditioned the buses since I was last there but I wouldn’t rely on it). I’d totally just taxi it, your accomodation should be able to sort.

Apologies if I’ve missed it, but I can’t see in your posts whether the couple have any connections to the area. If they do, there will be convoys of friends and relatives and you’ll be able to find someone who can get you there and back if you ask the b/g.

If not, ask your accommodation, whether Airbnb host or hotel, about arranging transfers with a trusted company.

I absolutely would NOT be taking an e-scooter!

And I absolutely would stay in central Rome as you’re right to want to make the most of it. Just get your transfers sorted and you can start looking forward to it all.
