We are planning our first trip to france this Aug. On our must do is Disney and Le Mans. I also would like some days to lounge by the pool in swimwear
. What area may be the best to stay (Eurocamp) that will have the weather but can travel by car to these places too?

La Croix du vieux pont is a pretty large campsite with multiple pools and close to DLP.

We love the west coast of France. Depending on ages and wilingness to travel, I'd hit DLP first, then have a week on the west coast, hit up Loire for a night or two on the way back.

I went to la croix du vieux pont last week. It’s just under 3h drive from Calais, but a very straightforward drive. It is a nice site, big pool complex, plus a ‘beach’ pool, and it seems they’ve been upgrading things since we came a couple of years ago, there’s bowling, laser tag, archery, a takeaway restaurant and a sit-down restaurant, plus bars by the beach/pool. It’s just over an hour each way to drive to Disney, about an hour to Parc Asterix, and about 90 mins into central Paris.
I wouldn’t say it’s an especially relaxing site though, it’s very family friendly and there were quite a lot of tweens/teens being idiots on the water flumes etc, though later in the season I expect there would be more lifeguards keeping an eye.
