Southern Brittany hotels for family of 3

Hi everyone! Husband, 5 year old, and I are hoping to go to Southern Brittany this summer for a week's holiday. We plan to get the ferry into Saint Malo and then we are happy to drive up to 3 hours from there to a destination.

Please may I ask for your destination and hotel recommendations?

We would like to be within 20 - 30 mins drive of nice beaches. We'd like it to be fairly warm (mid 20s) - planning to go in June. Husband in particular is keen for it to be a smaller hotel as we are introverts and don't enjoy being in busy places or around lots of people. However, many of the small hotels I've looked at don't seem to be particularly child-friendly. Our 5 year old LOVES swimming so the accommodation needs to have a pool and be somewhere we she can enjoy herself in the pool. For me, personally, this is the main criteria.

We stayed in a lovely, small, remote hotel in Mallorca last year where the pool was very kid-friendly - no time restrictions on when kids could use it etc - but I'm not getting the same impression of the places I've looked at in France... So, any and all recommedations would be very gratefully received. Thanks in advance!

From Saint Malo you could easily reach the Vendee coast and also Ile de Re in three hours. Have you considered a campsite? The accommodation can be very comfortable and they will have pools and easy beach access. In June they won’t be that busy. If it’s a hotel you are set on try around La Baule or north Vendee coast or maybe in the Concarneau area.

Have you asked ChatGPT as it's really good with things like this?
