Trip to the Caribbean - one week, one place and then explore?

Trying to organise a family holiday with early 20s and teen DC. I was thinking we could do a week in the Caribbean - Barbados? - and then once the older DC have flown home, we could travel on somewhere else with the younger DC.

Any suggestions where?

Budget?

Cuba? We travelled around the island for 10 days (Havana, Vinales & Trinidad) & then did an all-inclusive for 5nights at the end.

If you went to Cuba you would all
need to apply for a visa for any holiday to the USA.

How about Florida? V nice for younger kids?

Thanks for the suggestions but we’re not planning on visiting the US any time soon and the teen DC are older teens.

Love Barbados! There's plenty to do there for 2 weeks. You coukd do a beach week in the South then go to the West Coast for the second week to explore, eg Huntes Gardens, East Coast ( very, very different) walking tours.

Though I usually do 2 weeks on various beaches!
