Dubrovnik + another location (not Split)

We are flying in and out of Dubrovnik & only have 7 days. Want probably 2 nights in Dubrovnik then the rest of the time in a villa by the coast/on an island? Feel like there are quite a few options & not sure what to do! Any recommendations?

Cavtat or Slano

Probably Cavtat or Montenegro (anywhere around Boka Bay) - please do bear in mind the border crossing though as this can take a while to pass through.

Korcula is beautiful!

We had a lovely week in Cavtat, after Dubrovnik. It’s very laid back with plenty of bars and restaurants and more along the harbour. Nice shingle beach, and jetties to enter the water just away from the beach. Also, it’s within spitting distance of the airport!

As stunning as it is, it's nearer the other end of the country.

Cavtat for sure

Makarska is not too far north of Dubrovnik and absolutely beautiful. Also agree about going south into Montenegro if you have time - very stunning coastline.

Hvar is beautiful, you can get a ferry from Split.
