Legoland Billund Advice

We’re going to Legoland in Billund for May half term for 3 days. We’re staying at Lalandia after taking advice from previous threads. But we’re not sure what to do about Legoland and Lego House tickets.

Do we buy them separately or go for the combi ticket? It looks like if you buy the combi ticket you choose you day of entry to the Lego House but can then go to Legoland up to 6 days before or after your Lego House visit. So does that mean you don’t need to book separately into the Park? And can you go more than once?

Also do we need to dedicate a day to the Aquadome at Lalandia or can we just go in for a couple of hours every day after Legoland?

Or should we go to WOW park for a day?

Too many decisions!!

Following, as we are planning this at some point. Do you mind if I ask how you are getting there op? As I heard Ryanair cancelled the only direct flight from the UK very recently?

I’ve got a similar trip coming up - don’t know anything about Lalandia but I do know about the tickets - almost certainly cheaper to buy the combined one but it is only one day entry to each. You book one (either the house or the park) and can do the other within x days but don’t have to book.

BA fly direct from Heathrow and Norwegian direct from Gatwick (cheaper)

We went a few years ago but stayed at Legoland. You can definitely do the Lego House and the Aquadome on the same day - not really enough for a whole day at either. We had a different ticket to the one you’re describing - I think we could go into Legoland for 2 days and to the Lego House on one other day (so 3 days at Lego in total). TBH we had 4 days in Billund and it was probably a day too long - 3 days would have been better (as you’re doing).

If you aren’t already I’d highly recommend tagging on a few days in Copenhagen. It’s easy to get there by train and brilliant for kids.

There's a Facebook group called 'Billund for Brits' which has lots of useful information and advice.
If you're staying at Lalandia you could go to Aquadome after your days out if you're not too tired, check the opening times though.
If you buy the legoland/legohouse combo ticket you can only use it to visit each place once. We booked them separately using a discount code for legoland we found on the aforementioned FB group. You won't find discounts for lego house anywhere. I definitely think you can spend a day there.

We ended up going for a second day at the Lego house as there was so much there, all loved it! Can’t remember about the cheapest way to do things as it was a good few years ago but we stayed in lalandia and I would say you you definitely don’t need to dedicate a day to it. It’s more for a mooch and a swim after your day out elsewhere in my opinion.

for the PP asking about transport we flew in and out of Copenhagen and hired a car which was great. All loved the city break and the car journey was very easy.

Thanks everyone. Excellent advice all round. We’re flying from Manchester with a stopover in Amsterdam. Only got 45mins between flights so hoping KLM is efficient! Schipol is a very easy airport though.
I think we’ll start with a day in each and then see what we want to do for the last day. Either the Aquadome or the WOW park depending on how they all feel. And I’ll check out that website and see if I can find some discounted tickets.

We are going in the May half term as well but for the week. For us it’s been a nightmare with the cancelled direct Ryanair flights. By the time luggage etc added onto all 4 flights (1 layover each leg) plus accommodation it’s cost us close to 6k for 2 adults, 2 teens, 3 younger children. Hope it’s worth it!
We brought combi tickets for the Lego. I’m not sure I’d go for WOW park if you are already staying in Lalandia, as they seem to have a lot of similar activities, albeit on a smaller scale - probably depends on the age of your kids. I would prebook the mini chef restaurant for the Lego house now too if you are planning on doing that, the reviews all seem to suggest reservation needs planning ahead
