We are off to Cyprus. Paphos.

We have the Troodos mountain trip booked which I'm looking forward to. Has anyone else done it?

Anyone else off anywhere nice?

We'll be in Paphos for a few days after a one week cruise around Greece and Turkey

Ooh, that's what we were supposed to be doing this Easter but have had to postpone to summer due to dd1's GCSEs! Can I ask which cruise line you are going with please?

Idratherbepaddleboarding · 05/04/2025 10:31

Work 😭 but we’re going to Mexico in June after DS’s GCSEs and my god we’ll be ready for a holiday!

10 days in Lanzarote.

Lovely! Our favourite island, where are you staying?

we don’t get Easter school holidays off only Good Friday and Easter Monday where dh and I are escaping for a lovely weekend in the Scottish countryside together to a hotel we love going to.

Universal in orlando, never been before but OH has, so excited but getting very nervous as I do with all holidays 😅

DrMadelineMaxwell · 05/04/2025 11:00

We are staying in Playa Blanca. A bit of a quieter area. Going back to the same hotel we have stayed at a few years ago, so we already know our way around the area and good places to eat etc.

Norway. Fjord cruise for 11 days, solo. Cannot wait!!

I did one of these a few years ago - the most relaxing holiday I've ever been on, the scenary is just amazing, staff were so nice too.

Have a wonderful time!

We have never been to a Playa Blanca , we’ve been to PDC twice and Costa Teguise twice too.

I’m off to work. Don’t even have any annual leave I can take as starting a new job in a couple of weeks and don’t want to owe any when I go. Never mind. I shall look forward to our holiday later in the year.

dd1 is off to Croatia with uni friends. Slightly jealous!

redgingerbread · 05/04/2025 11:08

Work. But DS and I are going to stay with
my parents for a few days (I’m wfh at their house while they mind him) so that will be a bit like a holiday!

Willyoushutthefrontdoor · 05/04/2025 11:10

Working and decorating our bedroom as Other trips booked later this year.We are off to Paphos for a cruise and stay in August. Been before. Lovely resort.

Weepixie · 05/04/2025 11:15

The UK. I’m very excited to catch up with so much of my family.

Nowhere. Exam season is looming. My current pet peeve with the Scottish education is that it takes 3 consecutive Easter periods out of the holiday equation - S4 for Nat 5s, S5 for Highers and S6 for Andvanced Highers. At least in England, you get a year off between GCSEs and A Levels (and they’re not actually so soon after the Easter holidays anyway). And the first three years were scuppered by Covid so we’ve not been able to go away at Easter since 2019. 🙄 First world privileged problems, I know though.

But I could do with some time off work, so I’ll be indulging in that other great British springtime pastime - sorting the garden and doing a bit of decorating!

Zippidydoodah · 05/04/2025 11:17

I’m also off to work, but having left teaching for a much nicer job (part time), I’m absolutely fine with that.

we have a couple of theme parks booked in so far.

We struggle in Wales too. Our school do some GCSEs in year 10, then the majority in year 11 followed by AS levels in year 12 and A levels in year 12! Mocks so far have been just after Christmas or just after February half term.

Nowhere, I'm working, although have family visiting Easter Weekend.

Hopefully the weather will stay spring-like and dry rather than chilly and drizzly.
