Travel inspiration with a three year old and one year old

I'm looking for some travel inspiration. Can anyone recommend a place that:

  • Adores young children as part of their culture? (We experienced this when visiting Sicily with our eldest - it was genuinely like walking down the street with Brad Pitt as cars screeched to a stop and Nonnas shouted "Bellisimo!" from balconies - and it would be lovely to experience that collective adoration for our wee one again).

  • Has enough for a three year old to do? For example, a beach, a children's museum, playgrounds, a resort with a great pool and activities for kids, etc).

  • Is an actual real place where locals live and isn't only populated with tourists?

we travelled with a baby to Cyprus (stayed at Azia Resort & Spa) and can totally relate to the Brad Pitt point! No experience there with a toddler, but it was definitely an ‘actual real place’ (I know exactly what you mean!) with lots to see and do.

Brittany. Lots of great areas for DC on the beach playgrounds and lots of history in the lovely villages. We stayed in EuroCamp style places with a pool. Trinite Sur Mer was ideal. Never did AI. We found cafes and restaurants were dc friendly.
