Looking for a short break in the Uk, no more than 1.5/2 hours from mid staffordshire

its for family with 2 children.

ideally looking for nice walks, restaurants within walking distance, places that would interest kids on the walks so caves, animals, playgrounds etc

any recommendations on location? And towns you’d recommend staying in?
