We are trying to think of place we can go for 10 days or 2 weeks in July with our 4 yo and 6yo. We would love somewhere kid friendly but also feels nice for adults. We definitely want a beach and good snorkelling would be amazing.

We are considering Egypt for the water and fish, but what are people’s experiences of the heat in July? Are we crazy?

Any other recommendations?

:)

Egypt seems like a long way to fly with small kids, and it will be very hot indeed in July — even hotter than the Mediterranean.

There is plenty of snorkeling in many places in the Med, but you're probably not going to find a lot of the super-colourful fish that exist in the Indian Ocean or wherever.

Are you looking for places with kids clubs that will take DC off your hands for a bit? Otherwise I'm wondering how you will make the snorkeling work, but maybe your DC are really good swimmers and also enjoy snorkeling?

Barbados is ok in July. It’s the start of the rainy season so you might experience one or two days with some short showers, but the majority of the time it will be pleasant weather. Temperature around 30 in the day. It’s a direct flight from the UK and it’s such a family friendly island. Super snorkelling, my favourite was is Carlisle Bay.
