France - where to go?

Two DC’s aged 13 and 10. We can go anywhere in France for 10 days in August….i don’t know where to go.

webe been to La Rochelle, Bordeaux, Ile de re and the coastal area of Biarritz and Hossegor before and the dordogne once. Other than those we’ve not been anywhere else…

where should we explore? I loved all of the above but possibly would like something different.

You could head to the Mountains? Strasbourg then visit the region like Colmar? Lake swimming rather than beaches. Big theme park not too far away, baden baden just over the border.

Brittany?

The alps? Have a look at Morzine, lots to do in the summer for kids that age, mountain biking, swimming, there's a lake nearby for water sports.

Agree with the north east. Strasbourg, the Vosges, Europa Park.

Ardeche? Jura? Strasbourg and Colmar are lovely. The Alps as mentioned by pps..

Provence and the Camargue are my favourite areas. Easily enough to do for 10 days.

The Loire Valley is lovely. Not only chateaux but beautiful towns, loads of stuff to do, easy cycling, kayaking etc. Nantes is a really cool city, with Les Machines de l'Ile.
