recommendation private transfers costa del sol

We have an apartment booked in Cala de Mijas for 2 weeks end June, don't really want to hire a car as if we're going into Malaga we'd get the train. there are lots of companies which seem to offer private transfers but looking for recommendations - there are 5 of us (2 adults, 3 teens so all adult sized) and luggage. Seems to be 150 euro ish return?

I've used this company many times for transfers in Spain and Portugal and found them reliable and reasonable

Excellent. DH has been googling car hire and it seems to be £600 for the full 2 weeks so I think we'll just book transfers and if we decide we want a car we can arrange that locally for a couple of days.

Can you get a taxi?

well we could, but have experienced before waiting a loooooong time for a vehicle big enough for 5 adults and 5 suitcases.

Try using Bolt or Uber. We found them both useful on the CdS last year. The other option is the train from the airport to Fuengirola and taxi from there.

I’ve found that booking a private transfer in advance makes the whole arrival a lot smoother, especially with kids and luggage. I once used an airport limo ride for a family trip elsewhere, and the easy pickup and roomy car spoiled me a bit, so I tend to look for similar services on holiday. In Costa del Sol, most local drivers wait right outside arrivals and do fixed rates to Mijas, which takes the guesswork out.

@SnoozingFox just came across this thread while searching for info on La Cala. Can I ask if you would recommend as a destination with teenagers? Am trying to decide between here and Estepona for a weeks holiday. Thank you.

Cant you get the train to Fuengirola directly from the Malaga airport then taxi from there?
