Canary island at Easter?

JamNittyGritty · 29/03/2025 11:13

Can anyone tell me if it’s warm enough for beach / pool / water parks?

Any recommendations for islands and / or towns? Especially if any are warmer than others? Just looking for a few days break from it all with 2x teens - chilling more than partying

Definitely warm enough! I’d say Costa Adeje on Tenerife will suit you and your teens. Siam Park is brilliant (Go early before the free buses and buy fast passes).

Definitely warm enough. We did Siam Park on Christmas day one year and had a fab time so it should be plenty warm enough now.

Yes l have a Villa in Lanzarote ( Playa Blanca) The Canaries are year round islands.

Definitely - do check which hotels do have heated pools tho!

Majority of hotels don't have heated pools, but it should be great weather at Easter. It's mixed between November to March but can be glorious and warm enough to sunbathe at Christmas...just never guaranteed.

Corralejo in Fuerteventura was pretty chill but enough going on. We were there in March last year, lovely and warm, at pool beach daily.

We went in Easter and it wasn’t that warm at all. Add the wind and the unheated pool and it was too cold to swim.

My favourite place since December 2023...bee there around 10 times..escape to the sun for retired people like me and my fella. Not sure if it's lively enough for teenagers though!

Thanks everyone, sounds like it should be warm enough to have a good time, just not quite guaranteed!

There's an element of luck with the weather, also it is reliably better in the south of the islands - there's a reason why most of the hotels/development is where it is. But on balance the weather should be mostly decent, but if you want the pool to be 'warm' you need it to be heated.

Tenerife, GF Isobel has a large heated pool. It’s at the newer end of Costa Adeje. Siam Park bus stop across the road, but as a pp mentions you might want to get a taxi there ahead of the crowds.

If you want all inclusive, have a look at Tui Magic Life Fuerteventura. It’s great for teens because they have a lot of sports and activities going on, If I remember correctly one of pools is heated too.

We went to Lanzarote one year at easter and it was very windy. The pool wasn't heated and the dc were shivering. We didn't even go to the beach, it didn't feel warm enough.
