Disney Studios Paris

DH and I are off to the Loire Valley with the DGC for the Easter holiday and are thinking of spending a couple of extra days in Paris Disney before heading home. Does anyone know if Disney studios are worth visiting or is still mainly builders and closed rides?

We’re going at Easter too and from what I can see, it’s just shops and restaurants that are shut from the renovations, but the borders are a bit 'unmagical'. I'm not going to let it spoil it though as we're huge Pixar fans. Also, most of the shows are in the Studio park if that appeals to you. What I would say is that, having been before, you could get a lot out of it from half a day, as opposed to a full day, so if you were doing two days, I'd do one day in the main park and the second day a half and half day between the studios and the main park, just to save a bit of money to only get one park-hopper ticket as opposed to two (one per person obviously) Smile

I am pretty sure if you buy a 2 day ticket they are automatically park hopper tickets and therefore you don't have a decision to make. It's only the 1 day tickets when you have to make a decision. We did park hop last time we went, as it was our second visit and we knew which rides were on our hit list, but there is enough in the main park to fill a full day easily.

How old are the grandchildren? The majority of my own and my daughters (she is just turned 13) favourite Disney Paris rides are in the studios, rather than the main park. It has some great rides for older kids, like tower of terror, crusha coaster, avengers assemble. My youngest is not into stomach lurching rides and prefers the main park. The studios really doesn't have a huge amount of rides for the younger kids. It does though have nearly all the shows, and they are great, so would recommend having a look for those at least. Also if they are into marvel/Spiderman, you can do the Spiderman/avengers meet and greet using the virtual queue in the studios, which I like. Also recommend splurging on priority access to the fireworks at night, it gets crowded and your view can be rubbish otherwise.

Some of the shops are opening around that time some later. I’m going next week and will miss it but as others have said it’s mainly shops rather than rides

If you have two days I would spend half a day at studios. If only one day, I wouldn’t bother. They do have some good rides but the place itself lacks magic and there is plenty to do in the main Disneyland park.

Thanks all. I think we’ll get a one day ticket to the main park and another hopper day to see both.
