we'll be in Corsica next week and the weather looks set to be wet and not so warm . Any ideas how we can still have a fab and much needed fun holiday? Dds are 4 and 1.5 and we'll be near Porto Vecchio

Thanks!

You can still go to swimming and to the beach to make sandcastles so long as it's not thundering or raining too hard. Maybe there will be excursions that would make a good day out? I hope the weather will be ok for you. I am off next week to Crete and hoping the same. I am sure you will make your own fun as it's just nice to be away together.

A day trip (or several) to Bonifacio is well worth it, Citadelle museum brilliant. Boat ride to see grottos (boats have cabins) are brilliant. There are other attractions in Bonifacio too, and it's a fascinating city all nooks and crannies. Suggestion - take a plastic flip-up beaker as all the cafe's only have little glass bottles of orange/apple juice for kids to drink.

Tog up in waterproofs/baby carrier, think there is a nice walk inland from PV, to see a waterfall or something. We started walking through the woods but did not get as far as the attraction, but the DC's still enjoyed it. Foret d'Ospedale/ Piscia di Gallo, that was it.

There is also a good vineyard in the area you should be able to visit.

With little children you don't need much to make a day out, just going shopping for baguettes and hanging out on your terrace should be nice and relaxing.

If we went again I would take the means to play DVD's and a few of the children's favourites - just for emergencies. We couldn't get any watchable TV at all.

Have a great flight and lovely time!
