Do cheap last minute August holidays exist?

Good evening.
I may be hunting the Holy Grail or an elusive Unicorn but do cheap last minute European holidays come on the market?

Partner has August shutdown and we just can't decide what to do this year hence considering winging it at the time.

We usually DIY but am considering a package for ease.

Can a bargain be had still and any advice on websites or is it literally still trawling through, TUI, jet2, easyjet etc?

Thanks.

Love Holidays are doing Last Minute deals at the moment Last Minute Holidays ⏰ 2025 from £119 | loveholidays. You can filter by the type you want (city, beach etc) and it'll bring up various options.

Thanks. I thought there was an issue with that company going bust? I'll have a look nonetheless.

I believe they were bought over at the end of last year. I've been away with them already this year and had no issues x

No idea but it’s still March, I haven’t booked up anything yet for the summer so I wouldn’t consider this last minute for August.
I think if you want a bargain for August you may need to be prepared to be looking the day before or a couple of days before you go.
Although I don’t have any experience in last minute holiday booking so it might be rubbish advice!

The cheaper deals now are when you book a year or 2 in advance. Gone are the days of the last minute cheap deals.

I rarely find packages cheaper than I can DIY, obvious reasons for that.

What about Lake Garda? I’ve just had a quick search and return flights Manchester to Verona 14th Aug for a week are £86 each (backpack only). Lovely long list of B&Bs coming up in Bardolino and Lazise at around £550 for the week total. It’s cheap to eat out with pizza approx €9 and Aperol Spritz, wine etc around €3.50. Gelato €2. Bus to Verona €4

Sorry, that's what I meant.....booking in August, literally day or 2 before.
