Short Break for Sun end Sept early Oct

I am planning a short trip end September,early oct. Don't want a long flight, but want some sun. Any suggestions?

To add, no budget constraints and want nice restaurants for girls trip.

Malta?

Depends what you want to do. City trip I would recommend Seville or Granada at that time of year.
For more of a beach holiday the Algarve

I agree it depends on what you want to do. I did a trip with friends to Barcelona around that time last year. We chose a hotel with a great rooftop terrace, pool, bar, sun loungers. So had somewhere nice to hang out but also did shopping and sightseeing.

The South of France is also a favourite of mine. Stay in Nice if you want a city break or take a train along the coast to Antibes if you want beaches.

In general I’d probably look at where you can fly to from your nearest airport, if it’s a short break.

That’s a great time of year in so many places!

Anywhere in the Mediterranean region will very likely be nice.

I’d probably pick Rome, or Seville (seville could potentially be roasting mind you). Or Lisbon. Or Bologna. Or Palma, Majorca. Or Taormina (fly to Catania). Or Bilbao/San Sebastian.

I'd look at the Amalfi Coast, maybe Positano, Sorrento or Amalfi. Should still be hot in late September and it's beautiful with great restaurants.
