Have never done one. Always done self catering.
But after a really tough year (ongoing) we want a really easy holiday. I don’t want to have to think about food I just want it there!!
Just me and dh.
Europe.
Preferably not just pools but sea as well. Also nice local area to explore for gentle strolls. Not uber touristy.

Any recommendations gratefully received 😊

We went to the Stella Island in Crete. The food was the best we have ever had in a hotel . You need to drive out of the hotel for decent beaches but there are lovely ones nearby. Knossos is nearby to visit. The Museum is also well worth visiting but again you need to drive. Lots of different restaurants on site. We weren’t all inclusive but most people were. I wouldn’t go again as I don’t like all inclusive type places but it sounds like it would be ideal for you. There is a sister hotel with a water park , make sure it’s the adults only one.

Grecotel LUXME Daphnila Bay in Corfu isn’t too touristy. It’s right on a sandy beach and has a large choice of restaurants.

Thank you both. I’ll look those up

IME all inclusives don’t tend to be in nice local areas where you can stroll through a pretty town. In Bali & Mexico we could walk along the beach past multiple all inclusives, which was nice and I liked nosing at the other hotels. But nothing locally, just wasteland generally. Same goes for places in Europe (Greece for us), only beaches less stroll-able as more pebbly & shale-y.

Have a look at Santa Elulia in Ibiza, I can’t remember the name of the hotels now but there are lovely ones

We went to Tui Blue Kalamota Island off Dubrovnik last year. Lovely place but built into a hill with no lifts if you have mobility concerns.

It's not a usual AI place, but it's an option! You have to get the ferry into Dubrovnik.

Thanks again everyone. Will have a look in a bit.

Atrium prestige in Rhodes is beautiful and has amazing food! Although there’s not anywhere to really go for walks apart from along the private beach but it’s quite a spacious resort.

@Forgottenmyphone how was the Grecotel? We are going this September for the 1st time (first time also on AI) Thank you!

Did you feel quite isolated there? Am I right that there isn’t anything much else on the island aside from that hotel? I imagine it would be very relaxing if you just wanted to get away from it all and with a beautiful view.
