Help!

Never been to Croatia and really want to go in the summer. It looks beautiful. Has anyone been with a child?

Ideally would like b&b for 10 nights near the beach. Also near things to do… not too far from a waterpark maybe? Also not too far from town with historical stuff!

Budget around 6k.

any idea? Thanks

Which part of Croatia are you looking at? We took our (then) 2 & 3 year olds to Dubrovnik last year. We stayed in an Airbnb apartment with a private pool, 10 mins walk from a beautiful beach and 10 /15 mins bus ride to the Old Town.

It's beautiful and the sea feels like bath temperature, so my kids spent most of the holiday swimming. Make sure you pack aqua shoes, there's no sandy beaches and lots of sharp rock with the odd sea urchin.

Yes, I did it on my own with my then 8 year old. Stayed on the Istrian riviera , plenty do and see and I felt very safe not too crowded or touristy. Would return in a heartbeat !

We stayed at Valamar Tirena just outside Dubrovnik. You can stay on a B&B basis and it’s within walking distance of the beach and restaurants.

Pula? Not B&B but the Arena Stoja campsite has static tents and static mobile home things, has a pizza place and is on a peninsula so you walk out of your tent or mobile home and within a few metres can jump in to the sea off the rocks. There is also a shallow entry cove for small kids. Bus right from the entrance in to pula which has a Roman amphitheatre which does live gladiator fights, a castle, tunnels under the city etc. we loved it. Easy to bus up and down the coast to get a ferry to islands. Lots of lovely fresh food markets and gelato and a nice big supermarket in walking distance of the campsite too.
