Mission impossible …

Please help me find a budget respite break for me and DH. Criteria:

3-4 nights
late June / early july or September (Thurs-Mon)
fly from Gatwick or Heathrow
easy Transfer ( can’t drive abroad)
warm / hot weather
would prefer adult only

the tricky part - total budget exc food is £800.

Would love specific recommendations of accommodation etc rather than just areas where possible as I’m becoming overwhelmed. Places we have been before inc Seville, Budapest, Bali, Majorca, Montenegro, Rome, Paris.

Valencia? I found food and drink very reasonable there. I flew from Stansted but I would think there are flights from other London airport.

It’s an easy/short metro ride from the airport to the city centre.

We stayed in this hotel, very cheap and central, we walked everywhere.

We went in February so probably cheaper than when you want to travel. But flights + hotel were just over £500 for the two of us for 4 nights.

Girona and a central Airbnb or hotel. It’s a short bus or taxi from the airport. Walkable small city. Fantastic food and friendly vibe.

Lisbon is really cheap when you get there and well connected trains if you want to go to Cascais or Sintra for the day. We got an air BnB really cheaply but that was in Cascais itself
