Anyone been to Dominican Republic in late June / early July

Spotted a good holiday deal for DR at the end of June 2026.

How wet is it in these months?

Is there much for kids to do? Mine will be 8 & 6 next year.

anything I should or shouldn’t know before booking…?

Never been this far before with the kids but it’s the same price as going to Spain

Caribbean islands much better in the Winter IMO, at the time you mention, the Med is perfect so I wouldn't fly all that way for DR.

We had two hurricanes while there at that time of year.

Thanks! It’s odd as the flights have been added to our local airport for summer 2026 so disappointing to read the weather can be poor. No point to go all that way away for shite weather!
