Resort in greece

Hi looking for advice. Myself and husband and 16 year old son are looking for a holiday. We have been to Spain and Portugal several times. Like some were busy enough with restaurants and little shops etc thinking of a total change this year in Greece . However so many resorts to choose from so would appreciate hearing where you have been in Greece and would you recommend. Also is it very different to Spain and Portugal. Thanks

What kind of holiday do you like? Are you all about lying around the pool/on the beach, or do you like culture - galleries, museums, architecture, etc?

Do you want a hotel or a villa?

And what kind of budget?

Hi would like a bit of both by the pool and also exploring the area a little. Would like hotel or apartment nothing 5 star

Lindos in Rhodes. The beach is calm & flat so perfect for a toddler to splash around. Loads of restaurants & shops plus the acropolis. Some of the hotels at the top of the hill have pools but are self-catering/b&b I think.

Kefalonia is a lovely island. North of the island (around Fiskardo) is more touristy (and can be more expensive), but beautiful. Some lovely beach resorts on the south coast. Katelios is where we’ve stayed twice, which is small, mainly centred on a strip of tarvernas and a few shops, along the beach.

Getting around would mean having a car though - there is an island bus service, but not sure how often the services run.

Corfu's east coast is more lively, Corfu town is stunning.
Rhodes town has a beach and lots of Hotels with pools.

Pefkos or Falarki in Rhodes
Rhodes is a lovely island & the Harbour in Rhodes itself does not disappoint plenty of tours also on glass bottom boats/submarines/party boats ect... they do fabulous excursions to other islands and do a full day trip one to marmaris turkey to Dr delights (Turkish delights) factory and get an evening meal with entertainment from belly dancers.
I've had to visit Rhodes for years running as I never seem to be able to fit everything in so much to see and do.
