French Riviera weather in mid April?

Just wondering if anyone's been to Cannes around mid to the end of April?
I've booked a week's break, and though of course I've looked at weather records - which sound pretty positive - some real life accounts would be welcome since I've only visited in the height of summer before

Thing is the ground floor apartment has its own lovely garden and I was hoping to sit out there with a glass of wine - you know, as you do!! - and wondered if that's realistic

It can be variable. It does however change really quickly, so even if it is pouring, once it stops, the sun usually comes out. Except at the moment, there is a system stuck in the Mediterranean basin so it's wet all along the coast for the next few days. This does seem to be happening more frequently. It will still be nicer over there though, Cannes is a good base for doing lots of things.
