Hi we’re going on a rd trip to the USA in July and flying back home from Boston
We’ve got a night flight so I’m looking for a reasonably priced hotel in a surrounding area or close to the airport so we can chill and shower before our flight
Any recommendations please ?

I loved that the airport in Boston is the closest to the centre of any city I think I've been in.

Go for a hotel around Government Center, State or Aquarium stops and you'll be bang in the centre of town, and you'll be able to take the train to the airport in 10-15 minutes (plus a 5-min shuttle bus ride to terminal). Those 3 stations are really close together, so anywhere in the general vicinity.

We stayed at Omni Parker House right beside Government Center and liked it. I remember hotels were really pricey but it was amongst the more reasonable.
