Ryanair is a trunki okay if small bag booked?

Trying to work out whether we can take a trunki for our two year old for a short trip. Have only booked small bag. I think the Ryanair website says that we can exceed size limits with a trunki but I'm not sure and can't get through to anyone on the phone number. Toddler loves his trunki so would be good for airport amusement. Anyone know?

I've taken one. It was fine

Before you take the trunki on holiday, let him go and practice with it at your local shopping centre on a busy Saturday.

You will thank me.

Pressed post before making a final point.

You can measure it and see if it fits dimensions. Sometimes they check, sometimes they don't.
IME they don't bother with kids luggage but it's always a risk.

Yes, it clearly states on their website that it's fine

Hahahaha!! He's used it last year when we went to Greece so can navigate legs and suitcases quite well and at a pace! Just wasn't sure I could take it if only booking small bag. Seems like I can do that is good. Thanks all.
