Schipol connection advice

Has anyone traveled through Schipol recently and got any suggestions for:

Good places to get a proper meal with a child

or

Good ways to entertain a 3yr old for. A few hours between flights.

Please?

Last time all we could really find were sandwiches, sushi or McDonalds, and no play areas.

Have you actually been to any of them recently?

Last time we were there the big play area was totally closed and in the middle of building work and the two children’s corners we found had nothing beyond some colourful walls.

Not recently no

I've very recently transited through Schipol, there was no sign of building work. I would see what facilities there are near the departure date as we had to walk very quickly to make our second flight (just under an hour between flights). There seemed to be plenty of places to eat.

This sounds promising.

Was that since 8th Feb?

Fortunately / unfortunately time to get to our gate definitely won’t be a problem. Got several hours.

The food thing was weird. No shortage of places that would sell you food of some kind, but only one type of thing and mainly sandwiches.

Whereas we’re there for 4 hours over evening meal time. I’d like a proper sit down meal both for practicalities and to fill some of the time.
