Puglia with kids

Hello,

We're going to Puglia for 2 weeks in June with 2 young kids - 1 and 4. We've booked an apartment in Monopoli for the first 5 nights but ideally looking for somewhere with more outdoor space and ideally a pool for the remaining 10. Has anyone stayed anywhere they would recommend? We're planning to have a car so open to driving further afield, but struggling to find somewhere kid friendly near a beach and town. Would consider a hotel, resort, apartment but would rather not be in a secluded villa as it means getting in a car anytime we want to entertain the kids. Any suggestions welcome! Thank you!

Bumping for you as we stayed in Monopoli last year and absolutely loved it. Don't have any specific recommendations for child friendly places though. Will you fly to Bari or Brindisi? It might be worth looking at booking.com as I think there are some resorty beach type hotels further south of Monopoli.

Tfy looking at Masserias, smallish hotels with land and often a pool. Many of them were fortified farmhouses so larger than what we think of as farmhouses. Some may evn have trullis in the grounds.

@MissAmbrosia thank you! We’ve heard great things about monopoli so hoping it’s a lovely way to kick off our trip. We fly in and out of Bari but planning to get a car so willing to do a longer drive for the right place. I’ve done some digging on booking.com but can’t seem to find much that’s family friendly + not too far from a beach and town. So many beautiful places for adults but our kids are at ages now that it’s much better for us to be somewhere with child friendly facilities x

@SiobhanSharpe thank you! I’ve been looking into this kind of thing and there are some gorgeous ones but haven’t found anything that feels family friendly yet and reasonably close to a town and beach. We’re used to being somewhere that you get everywhere on foot so maybe need to adjust our thinking!

The Gran Serena hotel is just down the coast from Monopoli and is fantastic for families. The family rooms have two separate sleeping areas, there's a baby kitchen with everything necessary for sterilising, blending etc.., and a playground and splash park.

@Forgottenmyphone this sounds amazing! Going to look into it asap! Thank you x
