I always end up wanting to book more after these threads 😂 Will caveat by saying this is the first year of 'proper' holidaying after 4 years of saving for my first house and making do with a few days at Butlins!

Just been skiing in Feb half term

Really debating pulling the trigger for somewhere sunny at Easter but everywhere is expensive!

Driving/camping/cheap hotel-ing the NC500 during May Half Term

European road trip this summer (with 2 weeks at a friends in Romania so DS can run around the garden non-stop and I can work from a sunny garden table 'supervising' - this is the hope anyway!)

Festival here in the UK end of August

I'm at a conference in Toronto one end of October Half Term and am very tempted to drag DS along and add a few days.

Possibly Lapland in December 🤞

Georgyporky · 04/03/2025 10:25

March, city break Dubrovnik.

Planning (Kenya or Botswana,) + (India or Sri Lanka.)

Can't make up our minds. If anyone has been to both K&B, or I&S, I'd like to hear your views.

Most frustrating thing at the moment is we'll be moving home, so can't book anything until we know definite dates.

I tend not to use all my holiday up so I'll take some odd days but usually that's just for my sanity during school days.

We have two preschoolers so our childcare bill is insane. We have a week in Cornwall and a weekend in Center Parcs (Sherwood) booked. Hope to go camping at some point, but we'll make the decision based on the forecast. And we should spend some time in South Devon too.
