Alternatives to American national parks ?

We have been to US national parks and absolutely love it, have made reservations for one of the US national park in July but having second thoughts about going now. I understand that only half the Americans voted for DT and the ordinary Americans should not be held responsible for their government's actions. I have not made any flight bookings so have a choice to alter my plans.

We have been to Canada and loved Banff, Jasper and Vancouver island.
We can't go any other time but in July, any other suggestions?

Nova Scotia - A third of the world-famous Cabot Trail winds through Cape Breton Highlands National Park. It is gorgeous. You could also make a visit to Prince Edward Island - smaller but lovely driving along the coast roads.

Thanks Parker, will check it out.

Newfoundland…you can also pop to France for a few days while you are there (St Pierre et Miquelon).

Just to clarify it does not need to be Canada.

Nova Scotia looks promising especially with shorter flight timings.
Have been looking at Slovenia.

I have heard great things about Slovenia but never been. Otherwise Plitvice Lakes National Park in Croatia. It will probably be quite hot in July though. If you want somewhere cooler then you always have Iceland. Vatnajökull is amazing in the summer.

We have been to Iceland, and it's one of our favourite destinations.
