Best France(?) Eurocamp for mid-August sun/South France but Disney too?

Looking to visit France for first time in August, I've never been abroad and really want a Summer Holiday abroad experience but to be able to drive to Disneyland Paris too (ferry and self drive planned). In the UK we are not phased by whole day's of driving but think upto 4 hours a time is probably wise in a new country. Or do I do Disney sperately and go further south, even Spain? I want water park fun and days spent in water and exploring. I guess not so hot we can't do anything but I'm always told heat is very different abroad compared to the UK.

How long are you planning to be away? Driving on French motorways is really easy, nicer than UK roads, quiet, and plenty of services. There are several sites near Disney but you'd not guarantee the weather. You could drive further South for a bit, them stop in at Disney on the way home? Do you want coastal, lakes, mountains?

I'm not picky about coastal, lakes or mountains, but I'd like to get into some beautiful towns and villages. I would like to do the French riviera one day but something on thise vibes that's further north would be lovely. Thinking of around 8 days in france. Thanks for helping!

There are loads of beautiful towns and villages in the Dordogne - campsite was equidistant from Sarlat and the caves at Lascaux. Loads to do in the area.
