Where to take a 16 year old in Italy?

I’ve, very excitingly, decided to book my daughter and me a surprise trip to Italy for her 16th. She’s absolutely desperate to go! I’ve been to a few parts of Italy and really loved it, but I’m not sure where is best to take her.

Any suggestions please? I think she’d like to see sights and do a bit of shopping. Thank you ☺️

I just love Rome. Art, antiquities, piazzas, people watching, wonderful food markets, the pantheon which is my fav building in the world, gelateria, shopping….

Florence

We found Florence fabulous. My daughter was 15 at the time and loved the Gucci and Ferragamo museums and the general vibe. Stunning architecture and super easy to navigate round.

It is the jubilee in Rome this year, so even busier I've heard.

I would like to fly to Naples and spend time along the Amalfi coast. It looks beautiful.

I also want to visit Pisa, Florence, Venice & Bologna.

Also there are some really cheap flights to Milan and can use that to get to Lake Como..

Ooooh I’ve been to Rome and Florence and loved both, so they’re definite contenders! Thank you! 😁

I did Venice with my DD last year, just wandering the canals and eating amazing food. We did a mask workshop and murano glass bracelet making working

This year Rome is currently the main contender, however I’m also considering Sicily
