Lots and lots of hotels.

Do you want AI with pools in the modern bit or a riad (traditional style) in the old section?

Both are pretty safe.

why not both !! Thank you

We stayed at the Medina Gardens , it's right in the centre and a short walk from the souks. The big red bus stop was just down the road.

Personally (and lots will disagree) I much prefer the large out of town hotels over a city centre riad. Marrakech is incredibly exciting to visit but a complete assault on the senses and I preferred to spend a few hours sightseeing in the city each day and then be able to escape to the comfort of western-style luxury, sitting in large gardens reading a book or swimming in a pool. In a riad you would probably need to keep popping outside to visit cafes and restaurants etc, and words cannot describe how busy and noisy the city is.
