Ah right, well then yes I have been there but we didn't stay there, we were at cala n'forcat. From what I recall the beach is quite small but very pretty with a beach bar. There appeared to be quite a few private villas etc there. Might be an idea to hire a car to explore the island.

Hello

Have also been to Cala n Forcat last August. Didn't really see much of Cala n Blanes, (just drove though it on the tranfers, it looked nice!) but if it is as expensive as Cala n Forcat, be prepared to take out a second (and maybe a third) mortgage! Can you tell I am still slightly at the prices?!!

When are you going?

WE went the year before last and really enjoyed it. We had a villa through Style holidays which was a 5 min walk from the main street with restaurants. It's very child friendly, and there's a great waterpark there. Beach is small and to be honest we either spent the time by the pool or on other , large rbeeaches as there were a lot of jellyfish around when we were there (May). Restaurants on the main street were fairly standard, a few better ones selling seafood dishes etc. We got a little bored of the choice though and went to Ciutadella one night, MAhon another. Harbour area in Ciutadella is lovely for ealy evening meal with LOs, very small sweet harbour with LOVELY seafood restaurants. Ciutadella (5-10 mins drive away) is a very old town with a fab fish market whcih we used a few times for BBQs. HTHs

LOl The skip that lasted about 3 hours before the poor bloke had to come back and get it?! LOL He said he had never been called back so quickly by a private (rather than commercial) customer

I'm kind of not excited very very happy, but think I am taking it easy on building it up till I've had a scan, after last time, don't want to bank too much on it IYKWIM?

I think I am due on the 12th, so it will more than likely be after Lauren's birthday, my kids are always late!

laughalot · 12/05/2008 14:00

Well I am mega pleased for you nat. Did you take the kids to the waterpark on hol ?

No we didn't do very much TBH, George was only 8 months, no car seats etc. we spent most of the holiday lazing by the pool, and our hotel had a splash park thingy that helped to cool us all down!

It was a lovely place, probably wouldn't go back in a hurry, but we have only ever once gone somewhere and thought we could go back at some point, we like to go to different places rather than the same old.

Like I said, the only down side we found where we were, were the prices of things, it was more expensive than England.
