Looking for somewhere for lunch near holburn that may be suitable for a 4 year old and a fussy vegetarian 13 year old - ideally with good/cute cakes. Any reccomendations? Would consider China town too but j find it a maze there

Pear Tree Cafe in Lincoln’s Inn Fields? Simple cafe food nothing fancy but has green space for 4 year old to run around.

One of the Inamo branches? They have interactive tables that always mesmerise kids when we've taken them and the food is pretty good too.

My old Dutch near Holborn tube serve both sweet and savoury pancakes and crepes. Family friendly too.

I don’t want to disagree with anyone suggestions but that last time we went to a branch, the food was awful. Almost inedible! Ciao Bella is a nice Italian on conduit street. Hiba express also nice on high holburn. Lots of veggie stuff. Viet Eat on kingsway as well. Or you can walk 10 mins into Covent garden - all the usual child friendly chains are there.

To be fair @Verite1, I haven't been in over a year so will trust your judgment over mine!

PP that suggested Viet Eat - I went in early Jan and it was delicious!

For lunch and cake, Amelia on Monmouth Street springs to mind.
