Ideas for a family holiday (2 adults and 5 yr old) 5k budget

As the title suggests really!

I'm out of ideas going round and round every website again and again.

2adults and 1 5year old

Summer holidays
5k
10 days-14 days

Board basis not really bothered. More after good swimming pools for the 5 year old and things to do for all of us, experience local culture, keep the five year old entertained.

Long haul/short haul either/or

Any ideas would be appreciated! Thank you!

Following. Same situation and feeling clueless.

When our boys were under 12, we preferred half board arrangement where breakfast and evening meal was sorted and we could retire back to the apartment out of the mid day sun for lunch.

Is there anywhere you don’t want to go, to help narrow down the advice?

Hotel pools in the summer holidays will be packed. Also pool inflatables are ( IME ) banned in pools now for safety reasons ( the lifeguards can’t see the bottom of the pool ).
A beach offers more space.
We ( adults ) like to stay in Port d’Alcudia on Majorca as the beach is wide, gently sloping and part of a loooong bay. Zafiro Tropic is our choice, Zafiro Palace is upmarket.
The old town of Alcudia is 15-20 minute walk from the Tropic.
Buses in Majorca are frequent and tap on, tap off. Puerto Pollensa is worth the trip as in the old town Pollensa, and if your feeling energetic, the 400 steps up to the old church there ( El Calvari ).
