On a list for a family break, with 9 year old twin girls. Mixed reviews ion swimming pool, is it large enough to cope with mid August crowds? Lodges tired some people say. Would love to know peoples experience last summer. Plenty to do in area, not too far to beach? Also you cannot see price of activities on site till after booking. Are these expensive? Thank you in advance for comments

I haven't been as recently as last summer but went in 2023. We liked it, we stayed for 4 nights and didn't leave the park. Long drive with overnights on the way and back home, so we're happy to have a chilled time whilst we were there. The pool is okay, we spent time there most days. It's not massive but was never packed. Activities were mostly reasonably priced, I haven't got a list but: sky walk was £30, mini sky walk £13, wacky racers £22.50, signature massage £80 (includes spa entry). Golf buggy around £125 for the week.

Also, theme park and Folly Farm nearby. Plenty of things to do on site that are free too

We love it. The climbing wall was £18 which I thought was a lot but there's so much to do for free. I like the pool. They were refreshing the outside when went last year. If it were closer we'd go more.

We went in April 2023, not summer, for a week, including Easter weekend. We stayed onsite as my partner and I worked flexibly around activities. My DDs were 7, 9 & 14 at the time. We went to the pool and the HIVE daily. We found the pool ok; it was busy on the Sat/Sun during the Easter weekend. Buggy hire was £199. It is a large site; we were glad to have the buggy. Starcatcher was £12pp. Kayaking was £15pp. Archery was £17pp. Film & Fun Night was £25pp. Wacky Racers was £22.50pp. Smokey Joe's Shindig was £24.95pp for adults and £19.95pp for the children. Skywalk Mini was £12.95pp. Skywalk was £30pp. Glowzone Bowling was £20/session. Adrenaline was £15pp. Secret Village was £15pp. Standup Paddleboarding was £18pp. Power Jump was £15pp. Power Tower was £15pp. I hope this helps.

We (me and 8yo DD and my parents) went a couple of summers ago and really enjoyed it. Plenty for DD to do, pool busy but not overly so, plus she spent HOURS in the Hive and the other play place (can’t remember what it’s called). We went to Tenby one day but DD would have been just as happy to stay there. One thing about the site though - it is VERY hilly and the pool is at the top - get the golf buggy!

We went in October last year for three nights. We'd love to go back again. We stayed in a three bed lodge and really liked it. It was clean and really spacious. We have two under 4s so going swimming and to the free play areas was enough to fill most of the time for us. There is a sandpit area, several playgrounds and a large soft play section with an enormous bouncy castle which is all free to access. The swimming was good - there's a large graduated pool with a wave machine and a lazy river. There are several big slides to ride down too. We paid for the mini skywalk and secret garden which was fun (someone has listed the prices above). The site is hilly but we didn't feel the need to have a buggy to drive around. If it was closer to us we'd be going again sooner.

Thank you everyone, am really grateful for such detailed and helpful replies, can I just ask did anyone go during actual school summer holidays, just wondered if the pool is adequate when the site is full?
is there anything to do in area if it rains? Also which is best sandy beach to go to and how far?
