Croatia Suggestions

Hi - we are looking at going to Croatia in the summer, 2 adults 2 children and would like an all inclusive resort and/or somewhere near to a beach and town centre. We won't be mobile to travel so hiring a car to tour around is out.
Does anyone have any recommendations as reading around is very confusing.

Which airport in Croatia will you fly into ?
Have been doing lots of research on Croatia recently as going there, and Montenegro in Sept.

What's your budget?

Any of the airports, that's what I'm asking for recommendations on.

I went to Split last year. You could easily go on coach tours or we went on a brilliant boat tour, saw dolphins in the sea and swam over a sunken boat, we also took a tour to a local nature reserve with waterfalls which was just beautiful... plus the town was idyllic and lovely to walk around. However it was extremely hot! My kids would have been grumpy and it was more architecture and Roman history than buckets and spades. Depends how old your kids are and what they like.

Have a look at the Bluesun chain of hotels.

Isabella Island Resort is good for families. Plenty to do at the hotel and there are two-bedrooms suites which don’t break the bank. There’s a boat to Porec roughly every 30m from 7am to midnight. It’s just a 5m journey, free for hotel guests, from the pier in front of the hotel.

We flew to Split and took the ferry to Brac. Stayed in a villa, hired a car and drove around the island. It was lovely. Did a daytrip back to Split to explore Diocletian's Palace and Klis. We loved it. There's no sandy beaches tho. (Like one tiny sandy beach, otherwise it's pebbly.)
